This is how an artist’s mind works… well, at least mine. I was looking at a Comic Con where Stan Lee is making an appearance and this image of Spider Man sipping on a Big Gulp came to my head. Most times I ignore these thoughts, but this time I thought “What the hell…” and opened Manga Studio to sketch this. I have a further idea to tie this into 1977 (the Spider Man TV show premiered in 1977) so look for that here soon.

The ’70s Nicholas Hammond Spidey series was astonishingly reasonable, given the nonexistent SFX budget! Good memories
It was not a bad show, as you stated, the SFX back then were totally lame compared to today, but they managed to pull off Spidey pretty well.
