Long time 1977 reader and fellow Raquel Welch fan Martin Warminger asked me a while ago if I could draw Lorraine in the famous pose from the movie “One Million BC” and guess what? I did.
The movie is a real stinker but Raquel makes it all worth it. Not being too sexist here, but Welch’s breasts are the epitome of perfect breasts. Not too big, not too small, look great in bikini and were the center of most boy’s/men’s fantasies throughout the 60s and 70s. But our Lorraine has knockers that can compete and our resident Italian gal is holding her own.

I don’t know how to create “gases” like clouds or smoldering volcanoes, but if I ever figure it out I’ll add it to this image as the original has a great mix of smoke and clouds. Damn my lack of knowledge of PhotoShop effects! Ah, thanks to some nice advice, I have updated the image. Repainted the backgrounds in Manga Studio instead of PhotoShop, but the gases and clouds were done in PS. BTW, the Marker Tool is what I use in Manga Studio to fill in and color with. I’m doing a tutorial on how I do it here soon and I’ll let you all know when it’s ready.
Enjoy this either way.

Sooo hot. So well done. Bravo!
[I have GIMP and Painter, and the trick I use is either a very light color or white with the airbrush tool and the opacity pretty low, or the eraser tool dialed down to 20% or lower. Try it, you might like it!]
Thanks for the tip! Tried it out and the results were pretty good! So, you made my day!
I’ve always thought Raquel was the hottest of the hot. My interest redoubled when I found out we have the same birthday. My libido loves you, Raquel! (My common sense is still devoted to my wife.)
We can look… just can’t touch. And Raquel is more than worthy of looking.
AWESOMESAUCE!
Ummm… sauce… oh, Lorraine. Yes, her too.
Mmm, BBQ’d mammaries…um, I mean mammoth…
Well, great job, Byron! Do you know, I’d forgotten about our conversation so this came as a pleasant surprise. The pose is perfect and even Lorraine’s face has a slight Raquelesque flavour. Love it!
Thanks, Martin! I keep tiny notes on stuff and every so often I look them over and see what’s worth doing. Lorraine as Raquel is a perfect match. The reason she looks so “Raquelesque” is the hair. It’s dead on to the photograph, and even though it’s brunette, you still see Raquel. But that’s Lorraine alright. I’m going to be doing more pin-up style artwork like this of the gals from 1977 and women in general. So stayed tooned!
well done, sir!
Well-done, good sir!
It’s funny to see Lorraine, a barefooter in “civilized” settings, wearing boots in a primitive one… but hey, your fidelity to Raquel is spot-on. Lovely!
Aoogah.
Also, yay you for not putting the cave-babe in heavy make-up. It always annoyed me in historical or prehistorical films when women were tarted up in present-day cosmetics. Besides, Lorraine’s plenty hot without any embellishment.
