I have the corrected comic up now. “The Show Must Go On” means many different things to just about anyone you talk to. To me, it’s a tiny little song on Floyd’s “The Wall” and a lousy Three Dog Night single from 1973. It also is a Queen song from Freddie’s last album (I think). [...]

Mr. Snotty Sock to the rescue! Snotty Sock? Ewwww…. Okay, for those of you new to the comic, check out these two strips from last year: “She’s A Lady” and Happy Endings Part Deux Man, have I come a long way in my drawing style since those strips! Actually, the very next strip after “Happy [...]
A Sunday tradition that got started my Freshman year at Illinois State in 1975 was to get up on Sunday morning and finish up the left overs from the previous evening’s festivities! Cold pizza and warm beer kept the hair of the dog going for sure. Today’s song title is from Pat Travers. Man, does [...]
“Aqualung” by Jethro Tull came out in 1971 but I didn’t get it until 1973. The song “Slipstream” is a really short accoustic number that appears on the “My God” side of the album. The second side is mainly about pro-God/anti-church sentiments. But “Slipstream” tosses in this last little line: “And you spin in the [...]
Special guest star: God. Wearing fancy Roman leg straps and robe, but no sandals. God doesn’t need sandals, but wants to be stylish just the same… Seems two things in this world start blog flames faster than Mrs. O’Leary’s cow, and they are politics and religion. I for one am not one to toss any [...]
Don’t you hate when folks listen in on your conversations? Bud has the right idea. The comics go to Monday-Thursday for a while, but the subscriptions are going really well, so I don’t thing it’ll be for long! Keep them coming and I’ll get back to three times a week! I live near Chicago so [...]
All I’ll say is to remember I’m never gonna make 1977 too serious, so I’m not pulling some “on a special 1977″ crap. I’m getting use to the new eyes. Tried to mix up the posing in the 3rd panel and didn’t quite pull it off, but fun to do just the same. The comic’s [...]
Part 3. I liken these three comics to when the TV show “M*A*S*H’ would have an episode where Hawkeye or Radar would write letters home and the episode would catch viewers, old and new alike, up on the current storyline. There’s been a lot of new traffic hitting the comic and I thought it a [...]
The plot thickens. With Wednesday’s posting of Part 3, I’ll put up an update on what’s happening this year without giving away the story. As we use to say in my TV News days: “Film at Eleven.” Stay tuned.
This is the first comic of three. All I’ll say at the moment is don’t worry, I’m not changing the comic… I’m just taking a small detour to add to Bud’s character. When all three comics have been published to the site, I’ll put up a post on what’s happening this year! More on Monday!
