THIS LOOKS AWESOME! Great to see the comic return with such a great opener (re-opener?) Way to go Bryon and Lena. I don’t know how well you’re #2 marker for success is going but #1…. I for one at least love reading your work, and can’t wait for more.

I just gotta say that working on the site was way fun and you’ve inspired me to spend some more time doing artwork. I have some stupid failure issues with it I need to overcome. But, watching you and Kevin have so much fun with your art, makes me realize I’m really missing out by not making time for my own. Being creative is important to me and I’ve really got to make it a priority. I’ll be having fun and posting on my blog new work as it comes.

But as far as “failure” issues… just take a look at the first comics of 1977… they suck. Poorly written and poorly drawn. But, by doing the comic, my style is coming around. I’ve already improved so much since January of this year and this break allowed me to concentrate on some much needed practice as this post shows. I could have not pulled this off a year ago.
So, go do. If you have a dream, just freakin’ do it as we’re not getting any younger. I was 50 when I decided to become my life-long dream of drawing comic strips, and if I can do it, well, anyone can.
RE: Drew – OH YES the subscriber comics will be in the next book. That would be cruel not to share them at some point. The subscriber comics will NOT be on this storyline, but just general fooling around and maybe a bit more risque as it’s in an area where you have to sign in and I don’t have to worry about some grade school kid showing his class in the library Lorraine’s naked boobies… Its been done, I know…

If the first 1977 strips “sucked”, I would have not read them. I think they were good and I still like to read them today.
