Having grown up around older sisters… I know first hand they can be REALLY gross when they want to be. My middle sister is a champion belcher and can take on entire biker crowds at bars and blow them away… I had such good role models as a child…
This is my contribution to a long standing tradition of farting in webcomics. I have referenced them before, but this is full on farting to the max.
Today’s comic title comes from the rock group Fanny, from their 1972 release “Fanny Hill.” The song was written by June Millington. June is known for many great things in her life, but for me she’s one of the greatest women rock guitarists ever. But, when she penned this song in 1972, I don’t think she realized that a 15 year old near Chicago would forever chuckle at it as a great fart song. Here’s my Exhibit A, a sample lyric:
“Well, I hid behind the pillow and I wasn’t very smart, but the pain is gone and now I’m about to start. Now the Sound and the Fury have someplace to go.”
Oh come on! Is that NOT a fart reference or what?! If it is, then June, I am very proud of you. If not, I still chuckle just the same…

Whata great new header!
Actually, I do not drink coffee. Never have. I am a morning person (like Jeff) and just get up and go. I do, though, enjoy a can of Mountain Dew by mid-morning and I guess that qualifies as my “coffee” break.
I can, however, raise the sheets at times… This comic was mostly inspired by my wife (who is going to hate me for saying this publicly). She is the best at belching and farting of anyone I’ve seen. Luckily for us both, I have absolutely no sense of smell, so I find her capabilities rather entertaining to say the least.
YAY! Someone noticed the new header! AND it even features Bud transformed. I know this may confuse some new folks, and I’m not gonna leave “her” in there for long, but it amused me and thought I’d put it up like that for a bit!

I remember when I was first in college (many years before 1977, and no, I won’t tell you how many), I liked to hang out at the secondary Women’s Dorm. Why? On my floor in my dorm, there was me, my room-mate, and the entire defensive crew of the football team. Their conversational skills consisted of how much beer they could drink, how much pot they could smoke, and how many times they could screw in one night (and most all of it was fantasy bragging).
I hung out with the women because they had better conversations (although the possiblilty of getting laid probably had something to do with it). After a while, they accepted me so much, that they felt free to open up. OMG, the things they talked about and the language they used would make a drunken sailor blush! Women can be so much nastier than men!

In 1975, I lived on a co-ed floor in Waterson Towers (tallest dorm in the USA at 28 floors) at good ol’ ISU and I am so with you. The guys just talked about sex; having it or trying to get it. So, like you, I would hang with the women… MAN the things they said and did. Very cool. They too talked about sex, but it was sooo much better hearing it from them…
I have always had more women friends then guys, as we fellas are just a disgusting lot. Have you EVER seen a women hocker one up and let it fly on the street? YUK!! I’ll take women over men any day… and I guess that’s a good thing for me…

@byron @brett i have a ton of lady friends. still friends with the ones i used to see as well. when i was in high school i was hanging out at the ladies dorms with a girl i used to see in high school (i was a freshman, she was a senior). when she graduated we split but stayed friends. i started seeing one of her floormates 🙂 good times!
