Not much to report yet really. Mortgage companies are notoriously slow when it comes to charging you more and more late fees and penalties each and every month they drag your feet, so they have no motivation to speed things up. And we gave these bastards a bailout, yeah, totally worth it.
End of rant.
I’m fine as can be. I hope to be back in December actually, but nothing is firm yet.
Do what you gotta do. Entertaining a bunch of strangers should definitely be a couple notches down on your list. Though, you do entertain well. Take care of the family, deal with the bankers (totally agree), keep yourself above water and I’ll keep my eyes open to see what you’re up to here.
Thanks for updating. Any news is better than no news. Still checkin’ in on you and hoping for All Good Things.
As far as the installment goes … Could’ve been worse. He could have bumped into Evil Robot Bud. Now there would be an interesting 1977-meets-the-future crossover. A good opportunity to work in the Good Dr. Carlin.
Be of good cheer, dude. As best you can. You are not forgotten.
I’m hangin’ in there. The days are getting better, but the verdict is still out overall. So, in the meantime, I’ll just do what I can. Thanks for dropping by!
Glad your posting things again :3 I know how hard it is to maintain a webcomic (I have 2) and I sometimes need to just have a hiatus. Kudos for keeping with 1977 for so long :3.
Hey Byron! Just wanted to say howdy and I hope things are getting better for ya! Been there myself a few times!
Peace!
Ziggy
Thanks, Ziggy. Hope things are going well for you too.
May the force be with you. Take care of you and yours. Your work has done much good. Entertaining people is a noble endeavor.
“The Force is with you… but you’re not a Jedi yet…”
Thanks, man! Things aren’t terrible, but not great either, so I’m cool with being in the middle for a while.
So I guess that means that the rest of us, your faithful fans, will have to settle for being stuck in the middle with you?
“Stuck in the Middle with You” Stealers Wheel, 1972, with Gerry Rafferty as the lead singer (the guy who did “Baker Street”)
Yeah, unfortunately, for now.
A little Back To The Future in their… future for the gang of 1977?!? [grin]
I think if I ran into younger me, I’d give me a high 5 and a kick in the nards at the same time! [really]
I would mostly whack me upside the head and say “Smarten up and shut your mouth…”
I was way too mouthy in my youth. Ah, hindsight…
I’m to mouthy NOW! …I’m a slow learner! [grin]
I would slap myself a lot, I was pretty whiny when I was a young man.
Yeah, I think that’s true for a lot us.
Beautiful picture and cool to know things are not totally de, I say, Defunct. Reminds me of an old Zits strip where Jeremy meets his older self.
“Pay attention now, son. I say, pay attention!” Love Foghorn Leghorn.
Love “Zits”! Great comic.
But I have the fortune of posting REALLY old bud.
Ah, yes, Bud at 100.
I doubt I’ll be so lucky.
Dad always said “We’re here for a good time, not a long time.”
I sure do miss him.
Good to see things going on again. I know you don’t go into details much here, so I’ll just think that things are improving and hope I’m right.

So glad to see an update. I’d forgotten you said you’d try to do so in September.
Young Bud meeting Old Bud, huh? That must be one hell of a trip!
I had actually wanted to do a “time-travel” storyline once, but felt it was too far off the beat and path of the sex/drugs/rock and roll theme.
Perhaps someday.
New comics may appear in December… but I’ll let you all know when they’re coming.

Ah, so you’ve been to see Looper…
