Happy Halloween, man!

I think Gossamer the Monster from Looney Tunes is wanting Lorraine’s hot dog.  She’s clueless as are most of the chick who are about to be slashed in most horror movies.  “Hey let’s go skinny dipping where that kid got savagely murdered last year! What can go wrong?”  Topless teens getting chopped up, that’s what… When will these youngsters learn?

Lesson here: Never walk down a dark alley with a foot-long hot dog… Monsters are suckers for them.  Man, just hitting them out of the ballpark today…

Regular comics on TUESDAY and FRIDAY this week.  Now for candy…

Okay, you don’t know it, but I originally composed this post on last Friday.  I was trying to get ahead and felt good I had cranked out this Halloween special in really good time.  The concept was for me to work on the weekend getting both comics for this week sketched out, then I could finish them up by Tuesday and Friday no worries.  Well… that concept got blown to hell at Noon on Saturday (as I was sitting down to draw a commission then a comic) when I heard a small clicking sound from my computer then it went blank.  It tried to reboot, but to no avail.  Crashed system drive.  To add salt to the wound, I had just purchased a back-up program so I could mirror my system drive for just such a case.  The back-up hadn’t happened yet and as of now, 7pm Sunday, I’m still reloading software and getting all the settings for my software reentered.  Not a fun task.  I seriously doubt I’ll make Tuesday’s comic on time as I have the dialog laid out, but nothing else.  I’ll give it my all, but we’ll have to see what happens.

Growing up, we had this awesome Halloween record that had the theme from the Munsters, Addams Family, Bewitched and other “scary” TV shows of the time including the Outer Limits.  Of course, we had the “Monster Mash” single… who the hell didn’t?  The thing charted like 2 or 3 times I believe.  Sounds rather dated today (duh) but still a fun listen.  Enjoy your Halloween.
