I read an interview of Charles Schulz where he talked about how a comic artist worked on creating elements of the strip that readers would remember and like (Linus’ blanket for example).  Today, I think I have introduced one of those recurring elements… and his name is Rodney the vibrator.  I have already sketched out about a half dozen various ways Rodney will show back up in the comic (after leaving Latvia of course).

Anyway, the plane has landed and our gang is working their way through customs.  For the sake of clarity, I’m not putting in Latvian terms on signs and such as the comic is done in English, so consider them “translated” on the fly from Latvian for you. You’re welcome…

The Beach Boys “Good Vibrations” was a monster of a hit back in 1966. The recording of the song spanned several months as Brian Wilson bounced back and forth from this single and the album “Pet Sounds”. In the end, the single was the most expensive recorded single to date and was edited from several different sessions. This recording technique would influence Paul McCartney and the Beatles a great deal as they would apply the same techniques while recording “Sgt. Peppers” the following year. I just like the damn song!
