Thats TOTALLY what I would say too. Only I would hope to have witnesses to such a line, because thats how catch phrases are formed.
Why do I have the feeling the cops are about to come and arrest *Bud* and not the robber?

LOL, wit! Yeah, I sure anyone would feel that way… but the guy does have a broken leg and is unconscious, so I think the crook has already suffered. Bud’s just enjoying the moment.
Bud has already been arrested once in the comic series, so I doubt the Lombard police will want him again… (hint). We’ll have to wait until tomorrow, now won’t we?
must resist tempation to finish off enemy. yep even back in the 1970′s the law would frown on killing an injured knocked out robber, even if he was just moments before aiming a gun at you.
