“I wish they were all California girls…” Especially if they look like Mrs. Bergstrom.  I’m with Bud, you don’t have to ask me twice when a hot blonde in a bikini asks me to join her by the pool (I’m still waiting…).  Oh, 1965 was a great year for rock music, but the king of all singles was the Beach Boys’ “California Girls”  Going through many, many different recording sessions and editing, the final version ended up being the most expensive single ever released at that time.  They made their money back, by the way.

Where are Lorraine and Robyn? Hmmm… damn long bathroom break.  More on Friday.

The gimmick in today’s third panel is a tried and true cartoon standard… one that I love.  But it seems that Ms. Dawn Griffin, of the “Zorphbert & Fred” webcomic, seemed to love a version of that comic effect too.  Check the final panel of her comic from yesterday.  Seems one or the other of us was channeling Chuck Jones and we ended up with similar, but different, endings to our comic strips.  I love when stuff like this happens… kinda cosmic… like when two different radio stations play the same song at nearly the same time.  Wow, man…
