A reader sent me a really nice email over the weekend and he mentioned liking Poco. And I thought “Hot damn, we haven’t seen him in forever.” This is the result. I’m sure Poco is watching “Godzilla” on late night TV while enjoying his favorite snack. Or he’s dreaming of Harry Chapin’s song called “30,000 Pounds of Bananas”.
Count on the comic coming back to three-times a week updates in January. Sneak Peeks in December and more.
And once again, thank you to all my readers. You are the best in the world.

Awesome!
Hey! I think I’m watching the same show. I’d change the channel if I could just reach the remote.
One of my favorite sight gags you pulled off quite a bit earlier in the strip was Poco surfing across the floor on a … was it a beltsander? Or a circular saw? Don’t have the time to go archive diving at the moment. I’v ecome to think of the little varmint as sort of a silent version of Frank from Legend of Bill.
*heh heh* When you get your feet under you, and eventually you will, I suggest the possibility of Poco starring in a panel where he is actually cos playing Godzilla (dream sequence, perhaps?). Maybe stomping out a city, à la Stitch taking out ‘San Francisco’ in Lilo & Stitch.
And, man, I used to listen to Harry Chapin a lot. Makin’ me feel a bit guilty it’s probably been a whole decade and plus since I queued up some of his music. Time to track a few old favorites down. He always makes me think of John Denver or Jim Croce … more of a storyteller/bard type rather than just pure musician.
Great to hear you’ll be back Byron! My job at the moment lends me limited access to the web (still don’t have a home unit & must rely on work), so I haven’t been around much, but that will change in Dec. Great references – not only in seeing Poco, but also the “But wait…” from the TV – obviously a Ronco commercial hawking the veg-o-matic, pocket fisherman, or pasta maker perhaps, part of the empire that Ron Popeil developed while we were growing up & whose commercials you had to suffer if you wanted to watch late night tv… I also can’t believe the nod to Harry Chapin! One of my all time faves who was taken from the world far too soon! Lookin’ forward to 1977 on a regular basis again!
Hehehe very nice xD
Always happy to see more art!! P.S. Thanks for putting the Alliance Chats on iTunes so i can listen to them in my car!
