Welcome Home! Comic goodness returns on Wednesday! In the meantime, enjoy some images from C2E2 and check out the latest blog post and the image gallery I posted there!
Clockwise in this image: Boba Fett gets on my ass, Dawn Griffin and I at our booth, Danielle Corsetto being very gracious to pose with me, Red Phoenix and I bring fear to C2E2, the Empire stops by to enjoy 1977 and I’m calling in a pizza to go on the Batphone in the 1966 Batmobile!
“Welcome Home” from Bachman-Turner Overdrive II.

Damn you got to go in the Batmobile!
Bob
I KNOW! I was in 7th heaven man! I’d give my right nut to drive one, but that was not on the list… damn.
It was a damn fine show and a lot of fun.
Ahahahahahahaha! Admit it now – you’ve waited 30 years for the photo in the top left corner
Excellent! And a bloody decent Dark Phoenix, too.
Of all the Fetts I’ve known, Boba was the best…
Had to pose like that, it was made to be…
Boba, Boba, Boba, I can’t let you go…
BTW – stuff the Batmobile, I’d rather play with Hit Girl’s weapons cache!
/yet another shameless plug for Kick-Ass
What the hell is “Kick-Ass”? They were promoting it at C2E2… it’s some movie I guess. Not up on it yet… been too buried with work and the con.
See, you weren’t a 9 year old boy in 1966 when the Batmobile came out or you’d have a woody just like myself and all the other boys of my era.
I’m jealous. I’d love to sit in the 1966 Batmobile! It’s awesome that you had a lot of fun.
Frakkin’ A, man. The Batmobile was soooo cool. I drooled over it since I was 9 years old. Just last year I got the 1/18 scale model of it and I literally played with it like a kid. I’m truly a geek.
The only other pic to take with Boba Fett would be you kicking him in the junk. The Batmobile? You are now officially envied for all time. Too bad you didn’t have a bomb like in the movie, then you could have run around the convention looking for a good place to get rid of it.
All the “actors” at C2E2 were great sports and would pose for anyone doing just about anything. And kicking him the nuts probably wasn’t off the list if you passed him $20 afterward…
My man! Youse looks like youse is havin too much fun. Are youse gonna be able to come back down to the world of 1977? LOL
Youse is right… I’m still buzzin’ about the show. I’ll be on solid ground by tomorrow in time for Wednesday’s comic!
byron thats rad! i think im the only one stoked that you met danielle corsetto. she seems like she would be sooo rad in person! ive been following her comic and her twitter (since she joined twitter) for awhile now and she has an open invite to my restaurant, in fact, so do you!
A lot of people love Danielle’s work. She was very kind and even knew who I was (‘Oh, you’re *that* guy!”) She was a ton of fun and extremely talented.
You…… sat….. in…….. the……. Batmobile…… Ok, I’m officially Jealous.
Only way it could be better would be to sit in Christine!
Yes…. I…. did…. I can’t believe it either. They wanted $20 for the experience and I didn’t think twice. It’s the Batmobile after all!
HAPPY 4:20 EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I was/am too tired from the show to get a 4:20 comic up today. I’ll do two next year…
hey, i started reading 1977 today and read from beginning to end. i wanna thank you for making this awesome comic. it was very cool for a 13 year old boy to experience the year 1977 in a comical way. (Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll… just not in that order.)
Ashton… Welcome to the party pal! 13 years old, eh? Your as old as my youngest son and I know exactly why he reads my comic! Regardless of why you like the comic, I’m always thrilled when someone new finds the comic and takes it all in one sitting like that. You actually to do get a good flavor of how the comic’s story is slowly growing and of course how I’m improving on my drawing!
Rock on, man… as we said back then!
